The University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport, were combined to become it on April 11, 2013. In terms of student enrollment, the institution is the second-largest in Wales and provides about 200 undergraduate and graduate programs. The university’s campuses in South Wales are home to its three main faculties.
