Nottingham, England’s University of Nottingham, is a public research university. It was established as University College Nottingham in 1881, and a royal charter was granted to it in 1948. The elite, highly productive Russell Group collaboration includes the University of Nottingham. In addition to a variety of smaller campuses and sites spread around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, Nottingham’s main campus (University Park), Jubilee Campus, and teaching hospital (Queen’s Medical Centre) are all situated within the City of Nottingham.
