English Language Requirements

  • IELTS minimum score of 6.5 for Postgraduate and 6 for Undergraduate Studies.
  • TOEFL minimum score of 90 (Internet Based Test) for Postgraduate and 80 (Internet Based Test) for Undergraduate Studies.
  • Studying in the UK without IELTS / TOEFL is possible if the student has scored above 65% in the English language in the XII std. (English Medium) & if the medium of instruction throughout school & college was English.

Part-Time Employment In UK During Studies

Students can work up to 20 hours per week and full-time during holidays during the school year. Students may earn roughly £8 or above per hour during term time, equating to around ££400 to £600 per month. In addition, students can work full time during holidays. Students may look for part-time work in local newspapers, job shops, and university and college career centres, where vacancies are listed. However, please remember that the University does not guarantee students part-time work. Also, please note that you cannot work or renew your visa if you visit the UK as a student for six months or less.

Employment in the UK after Graduating

After graduating from a British institution, international students will be eligible for a two-year work visa ( PSW ). Those holding a recognised Bachelor’s or above degree from a UK university will be allowed to convert to Tier 2 – Sponsored Skilled Category. However, they can only change to TIER 2 in the UK before their student visa expires. A dependent may work only if the student is enrolled in a university’s postgraduate programme (Master’s Degree).
