Dundee University
Dundee University
Dundee University is a public research university located in Dundee, a city in Scotland's east-central Lowlands. It was established in 1881 as a university college thanks to a gift from the illustrious Baxter family of textile producers. The organisation shared St Andrews with United College and St Mary's College throughout its early years as a constituent college of the University of St Andrews. The University of Dundee received independent university status by royal charter in 1967 after undergoing significant development while keeping some of its old heritage and governance system.
