The course covers the knowledge and skills needed to work in a leadership and management role in various settings where services support people with varying needs. It contains wisdom and competence-based units, which will help the learners settle well in the work environment.
Course Features
The course supports leaders and managers in adult care in a range of adult care settings:
- Community-based services
- Domiciliary care services
- Residential services for aged adults and people with disabilities
- Respite services
- Day services

Assessment
The assessment includes expert witness testimonies, examining work products and direct observation. In addition, an assessor will visit your workplace sometime between the course duration, providing pre-notice, and they will undertake your skills at work.
The next part of the assessment will include knowledge-based units, which will be assessed through assignments, projects, reflective accounts, professional discussions and assessor questions.
Course Structure
The duration of the course will complete in 6 months. After the completion of the course, you can easily apply for various job roles:
- Senior Care worker/ Supervisor
- Manager
- Co-ordinator
- Nursing staff
- Team Leader
The learner should work with at least two service users during the course.
Entry Requirements
No entry requirement is needed for the course, but the learner must be nineteen years or older to apply.
