Diploma for Early Years Workforce (EYE) - Introduction
The course Diploma for Early Years Workforce (EYE) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, also called Nursery nurses, who can work with children to five years old and understand children aged five to seven years old.

Adult Education Budget (AEB) Funding?
If you are unemployed from the Great London Authority, earn less than £21,157.50 per year (before any deductions) and can provide proof of your salary with pay slips. Depending on the course, you may be eligible for low-income fee waivers. The income threshold is £17,374.50 if you live outside the Greater London Authority area.
Assessment
After completing the course, the student must meet all the units and show competence in a natural work environment.
Course Structure
The program lasts 12-14 months. You will need a suitable placement to collect work-based evidence for the course assignments to complete this course. There will be Face-to-face learning at the college one day per week.
After the course, you will be awarded NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) qualification, which will help you get a suitable job, and the job list may include:
- Assistant in Children's Centers
- Practitioner in nursery schools
- Practitioner in primary school reception classes
- Pre-school worker
Entry Requirements
Anyone age 16 years and above with GCSE English and Maths A*-C Or Level 2 in Maths and English Functional Skills can apply for the course.
Financial Eligibility
If you are above 19 years old and do not already possess a full L3 qualification or higher, you may be able to access complete Level 3 courses for free.
Applicants who qualify for financial assistance may be able to fund this course through AEB Funding.
